I didn’t build BettaWerks because I wanted to create a marketing platform. I built it because I was exhausted.
Exhausted from paying more every year. Exhausted from “usage limits.” Exhausted from platforms that made me feel like I was building their business month after month instead of my own.
Then one night, after getting yet another “you’ve exceeded your limit” email, something clicked:
Marketing shouldn’t feel like asking permission.
I started thinking back to the days when you bought software once, installed it on your computer, and used it freely for as long as you wanted.
Marketing is constantly evolving, and most businesses don’t have time to become full time marketers. I didn’t either. But I had no choice — I had to learn.
I learned more than I ever expected about the constantly shifting rules around email deliverability — the ones that quietly block bulk sending, tank open rates, and punish small businesses without warning.
I learned how to navigate those rules. I learned how to defeat them. And I learned how to warm up brand new domains so deliverability stays as close to 100% as possible — no matter how many emails a campaign needs to send.
I learned that real marketing isn’t about blasting emails… it’s about being everywhere your customer is — because omni channel consistency is what actually moves people to take action.
I learned that open rates look good on dashboards, but responses are what truly matter. And I learned that as my business grows, my tools must grow with it — with the ability to add new users, new team members, and new salespeople without hitting another paywall.
These weren’t just lessons. They became the blueprint for the platform I knew I had to build.
It took years of trial, error, research, and late nights. But those lessons became the backbone of BettaWerks.
I missed that simplicity — the freedom to create without limits. I needed a system with no caps, no penalties for growth, and no surprise fees. Something that gave me back control, creativity, and thousands of dollars a year.
BettaWerks began as my escape from bloated tools. Now I realize it’s becoming a better way forward for business owners who feel the same pressure I once did — especially new startups trying to get momentum without going broke.
We love helping new startup businesses get their marketing right from day one. And because we personally guide every business through onboarding and setup, we only bring on 2 to 3 new clients a month. It keeps the quality high and ensures every business gets the attention it deserves.
If you’ve ever felt trapped by the very tools meant to help you grow… I get it. And that’s exactly why BettaWerks exists.
If you’re curious how I simplified everything (and saved a lot doing it), I’m always open to a conversation.
In my next article, I’ll share how omni channel marketing — powered by your own personal marketing system — builds real relationships and delivers results that email alone simply can’t match.
